We recognize how the holidays can induce stress. It is our hope you take some time away to refuel and recharge from the stresses of daily life, but the practice of silence and its intention goes beyond relaxation. Join us on December 15th at Wellness Within for a half day silent retreat. We'll begin at 10a.m. and end at 3:30pm. 

We will have both guided and unguided practices. Included in the day are some sitting practices, short walking meditations and some restorative, energizing stretches from one of our yoga instructors. 

Wear comfortable clothing and bring your own lunch and beverages.

 Why Silence?

A silent retreat is all about receiving peace and quiet.  Silence is your chance to receive the beauty in nature, deepen your meditation practice and tune into your own heart.  Moment to moment observation can cultivate a clear, stable, calm and nonjudgmental awareness that aides nourishing health and wellbeing.

The quiet helps everyone find an inner sanctuary.  The gift of silence is having nothing to do, nothing to say, having time to enjoy solitude, being present with others without conversation. When we are not busy talking, our mind takes a rest. Our heart becomes more available. The silence outside helps us to find the still place inside. A few hours of simple peace and we can feel new again, more in touch with our essence.
